I painted "Tui Kai" in my first week of the Covid-19 isolation lockdown. As we live close to the Riverhead Forest, we were able to escape our bubble for a walk and I heard the Tui calling

It is an original circular 550mm x550mm x 15mm mixed media painting on canvas. The painting is painted in vibrant gold  to contrast the blues and teals of the Tui as they greedily consume the nectar from the kowhai
